Meet Sean O’Rourke
The Biz Stuff…
Since joining Combs & Company in 2016, Sean has become a jack of all trades. His original –
and still primary – role was cyber liability consultant, leveraging his 20+ years in technology to
help companies deal with the aftereffects of a cyber incident. He then assumed the roles of
CFO and business development for the commercial division, which tapped into the skills he built
running the tech firm he co-founded. And while he’s not responsible for the day-to-day
management of the company’s IT, he does keep everyone updated on the latest cyber threats
and how we can avoid becoming another victim.
The Fun Stuff…
Sean approaches life the same as business – he’s always looking for something that strikes his
curiosity. This runs the gamut from sports, to science, to comic books, to history, to food, to…
well, just name something. In fact, it might be easier to name a subject that doesn’t interest
him.
Sean is still proud to announce Philadelphia as his place of birth and he’s a diehard Philly sports
fan with one massive exception – go 49’ers (Joe “Cool” Montana)! As a child, Sean dreamed of
being a professional athlete, it didn’t matter which sport, or Batman. While neither has come to
pass, yet, that hasn’t stopped Sean from indulging in both passions, frequently competing in
endurance events and pick-up games and still consuming Batman media. Sean is also a big
believer in paying if forward, so he’s a CrossFit (L2) coach and runs endurance classes for his
local CrossFit affiliate.
